Blow
molding is the most economical process for manufacturing
fuel tanks.
The tank needs to be a fairly simple shape with no
undercuts. Blow molding requires a water cooled aluminum
mold, and is an excellent choice for high volume production.
Wall thickness varies depending on tank shape.
Blow molded tanks are typically between 30 cc and
4000 cc. They can be produced in single or multiple
cavity molds. |
