Tanks constructed of multiple layers of fiberglass
or aramid cloth and epoxy resin are usually light
and strong. This is a good process for low volume
production, or tanks that require special internal
features not possible with rotomolded or blow molded
tanks.
Simple molds are required for all parts. Then, once
the parts are cured and demolded, the parts are trimmed
and fiberglassed together. Internal baffles or access
panels can be added during the assembly process.
Fuel feed can be fixed (sump), movable klunk, or bladder.
