All Sullivan 3Ø Alternators can be used as Starter-Alternators if;
○ Alternator is capable of creating enough torque for the engine.
○ The Battery can provide enough current to the Alternator.
○ The proper wiring allowing the controller to be installed.
○ A Starter Controller is installed on-board.

SSRC

SSRC’s are Voltage Regulators, which provide power over a wide RPM range reducing the amount of time using the backup batteries, with an additional starting module. With either a 5V Signal or a momentary switch they offer remote starting when combined with one of our Alternators.

Starter-Controller

An external starting box is used to crank an engine fitting with a Sullivan Starter-Alternator without carrying onboard starting batteries. This can save significant weight in the vehicle, as well as allow for safe and reliable starting.
